My 17th Week of Fifth Grade

My 17th week of fifth grade was awesome! On Saturday, we had a huge countywide Christmas parade. I was on one of the floats as a Boy Scout. There were so many people! Also, someone in my class got number one in the country in Ticket To Read. This is a learning computer game that hundreds of thousands of children play across America! Izabella(the winner) got 26,400 points! Today, on Friday, our class sent Christmas cards to a girl who lost her hand, her foot, and her entire family to an arson fire. She went through over 70 surgeries to help her survive, and her face is disfigured. But she is a very nice girl, and all that she wants for Christmas this year is to fill her Christmas tree with cards for her. Our class is hoping to give her that wish. My 17th week of fifth grade was great!

Week 16

My sixteenth week of fifth grade was festive. For the whole week, we did an event called Candy Cane Cottage. During this event, students brought money to the gym which was set up for the occasion with gifts, and the students would buy them for their families, and all of the profits would go to charity. Also this week, we sent Christmas cards to our 3 penpals from Ghana, India, and France. Today, our French penpals sent us some cards back. They had delicious chocolates! My sixteenth week of fifth grade was so cool!
